How it all started
Timing is everything. A simple text message from Jordan to Brad in early 2024 changed everything and was the beginning of something much bigger.
Our story
After 10 years in software sales, Jordan was itching for something more. He had a lifelong passion for designing and building but never had an opportunity to pursue it. After taking some time off for paternity leave in 2023, Jordan decided to finally pursue his dream of building homes. Knowing that he could not do it alone, he decided to send a text to an old friend, Brad, who was living in Florida. Brad had been building homes in the Raleigh area for almost a decade before moving to Florida with his new wife.
Brad received this text message at a perfect time. Brad was actually planning to move back up to Raleigh and was looking to apply his experience and skills to his own projects. This text message turned into many more messages, calls, and the construction of a spec home. Brad and Jordan realized they had similar goals, principals, ideas, and just liked working together. This ultimately led to a formal partnership and the creation of J&B Homes.
